March 2012 Music Festival Results

Congratulations to Jeremy, Sydnee, McKenna, David, and Jordan for their accomplishments at the Calgary Kiwanis Festival!

Congratulations also to Gerrit and James who made it to the honour bands for the Alberta International Band Festival.  

Our band and choir also have been busy at other festivals this last month. The groups performed in great facilities and were adjudicated by professional musicians against a standard.  Here is how they placed:

Alberta International Band Festival

• Grade 8/9 Band at the Rozsa Centre (February 22) - Good Rating
• Senior High Jazz Band at the Leacock Hall (February 25) - Excellent Rating
• Grade 7 Band at Bishop Carol High School (March 15) - Excellent Rating
• Senior High Band at the Rozsa Centre (February 28) - Good Rating

Alberta Choral Fest

• CCS Middle School Choir at Knox United Church (March 13)  - Silver rating
• CCS Senior Choir at Knox United Church (March 13) - Silver Rating
