The Preschool at Calgary Christian School concentrates on creating a loving, nurturing environment for the children in our care. The classes include discovery-based learning with multiple centers to stimulate imagination and exploration. Our teachers include music, computers and crafts in their teaching and also focus on developing fine and gross motor skills.
Our mission for the Preschool is to continuously expand each child's innate gifts, to encourage their curiosity and increase their knowledge, skills and creativity through an educationally designed play approach to learning.
Each class is led by a trained teacher and a teacher's assistant. The three and three/four year old classes are limited to 14 students each; four-year old class is limited to 16 students. The four-year old classes incorporate math and reading readiness to assist in the transition to kindergarten.
We believe in a strong, Christian educational environment where love, support, respect and service are the basis of our program. With this foundation we can nurture and help each child to develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.
