Wanted to pass along a quick note that our construction and renovations for this summer are about to begin. On Friday, June 11, we moved the ES Library out of its original home and are preparing to break down some walls and build up three new classrooms. As well, on June 28, we will be moving in our construction crews for the entire summer to bring this renovation forward for our August start dates.
I hope to post progress reports on this summer work and pictures as we transition the old into new.
This is a very exciting time for CCS and many thanks go out to all of the School Operations Council (SOC), Board and volunteers who began this process over 5 years ago.
DID YOU KNOW - We were advised earlier this year that our schools have consumed the least amount of consumables per student, by almost half, of any other school in the AISCA school system. We have acheived this by the good graces of an Energy Audit many years ago (Thanks to George Nieuwenhuis, SOC and our Maintenance Staff), and an annual revitalization plan that has incorporated many of the suggestions and changes along the way!
