The community of Calgary Christian School depends on volunteers for their input and time, and their involvement is invaluable to the staff and students of CCS. With enrollment, each family commits to share a minimum of 20 hours of service throughout the school year. Volunteer Opportunities are announced throughout the year in a variety of ways including an online form, newsletters and here on the website.

1. Grade 7 and 8 Science Fair on February 8 is in need of volunteers to help with judging the projects, as well as, data entry. Judging will take place during the day. Please contact Janet to get in on the fun!
2. We are looking to put together a list of parents that we can contact occasionally when we require BAKING for various meetings and/or social gatherings. If you enjoy baking let Janet know.
3. February is Teacher and Staff Appreciation. The Parent Action Council are planning away and if you would like to be involved please contact Janet.

With all volunteers having the potential to supervise and interact with children at CCS, we require everyone to have a current Calgary Police Service Security Check and an Intervention Record Check for Alberta Social Services on file.
NEW for 2011 - both of these volunteer clearances can be obtained by simply visiting the school, filling out the appropriate form and presenting two pieces of ID. (Police Checks also have a cost of $25.) Please contact Janet to make arrangements.
