Vision: God's children making the world a better place.
The dream of a Christian school in Calgary took shape in 1954 when a group of parents formed the Calgary Society for Christian Education. In 1963, Calgary’s first Christian school became a reality.
On November 21, 1963, Calgary Christian School (CCS) opened in the basement of a Bowness church with 53 students from grades one to four. But the blessing didn't stop there...
By 1968, the school had grown to include grade nine and by 1976, every grade up to 12 was represented.
Today, Calgary Christian School's two campuses are home to more than 700 students from pre-school to grade 12, representing more than 100 multi-denominational churches in the city and surrounding area.
