Over and above the core curriculum, Calgary Christian School uses innovative teaching approaches to enhance the learning experience. We believe it is essential to give our students every opportunity to keep pace in our competitive world. We are always searching for programs and activities to challenge and enrich our students as we prepare them to enter a post-secondary institution.

Advanced Placement (AP):
AP is a program that was created by the College Board in the United
States to stimulate and enrich students beyond the regular high school
curriculum. Successful completion of AP examinations can lead to
students obtaining credit and advanced placement in most major universities and colleges throughout the world.

CCS offers advanced placement in core courses such as math and the sciences.

Career and Life Management (CALM):
CALM is a core class for our high school students – but the difference at CCS is that we lead students to a deeper understanding of what it means to live as a Christian in our world today, help them explore the many facets of decision making, planning a career and other important life-choices.

Fine Arts:
CCS offers high school students the ability to develop their music skills through regular band, extra-curricular concert band and jazz band.

French and Spanish:
We continue to offer French through to grade 12.
We offer Spanish as an introductory course in grade 10 and plan to develop the course in coming years.
