A new piano teacher! Dr. Elizabeth Clark

I am a pianist and piano teacher new to Calgary, and I'm writing to introduce myself. I am accepting new students in my studio at Calgary Music Academy (located at Bethany Chapel, across from Mount Royal University), starting in September.

I recently moved from Illinois, where I worked as a professor at Bradley University. I hold a DMA in piano performance and a masters in music theory, and I love teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I especially like to focus on overall musicianship, and to help students learn to use their minds, bodies, and hearts to make music. I also have extensive experience playing church music (both traditional and contemporary), and enjoy exploring that with interested students as well.

In addition to private lessons, I will be offering a group accompanying class at Calgary Music Academy for piano students at RCM level 8 and up. This class is mainly for older students (high school), and will help them develop the skills they need to get started as accompanists. Students and parents can contact me directly, or read the description of the class here for more information.

You can contact me at 587-581-7232, clarke.eca@gmail.com, or through my website, elizabethclarkepiano.com. I also have a Facebook page, Dr. Elizabeth Music Studio.

Thanks for your consideration, and best wishes,

Elizabeth Clarke
