Justice Film Festival

The Calgary Justice Film Festival - formerly the Marda Loop Justice Film Festival - released the full lineup for the 2021 Calgary Justice Film Festival.


The lineup this year includes seven socially conscious documentary film screenings to be held digitally over four days in November. The films will be available for screening online across the province of Alberta. All screenings are free to attend.

November 18 - Black Jesus

November 19 - The Line

November 19 - Variety

November 20 - Displaced

November 20 - Seyran Ates - Sex, Revolution, and Islam

November 21 - Kimmapiiyipitssini - The Meaning of Empathy

Since 2006 the Calgary Justice Film Festival has screened top documentary films highlighting social justice issues at no cost to viewers. Films selected focus on human rights, environmental and social justice issues, and provide citizens with an opportunity to learn about and discuss important social justice issues. Calgary Justice Film Festival is a non-profit society supported through viewer, small business and non-profit donations.
