Framework Overview

  1. Be with God

Goal: Cultivate spiritual habits and a deep, personal relationship with God.

  • Practices:
    • Daily classroom prayer and devotional moments
    • Weekly chapel services focused on worship, prayer, and teaching
    • Bible literacy through age-appropriate curriculum both old and new testament (stories, memory verses, themes)
    • Encouragement of silent reflection and journaling (even at early levels)
  • Outcomes:
    • Students recognize God as central in their lives
    • Students develop habits of prayer, worship, and attentiveness to God’s voice
  1. Become like Jesus

Goal: Shape students’ hearts and minds to reflect the character of Christ.

  • Practices:
    • Character education grounded in Biblical virtues (love, humility, courage, honesty, forgiveness)
    • Integration of PCCE Throughlines into teaching (servant worker, community builder, God worshipper, creation enjoyer, order discoverer, justice seeker, earth keeper, idolatry discerner, beauty creator, image reflector)
    • Discipleship of Grade 6 students through Hockey program to grow and develop Spiritual Champions to shape God’s world
  • Outcomes:
    • Students grow in empathy, kindness, and Christ-like attitudes
    • Students can articulate how Jesus lived and how they are called to follow His example
  1. Do What Jesus Does

Goal: Equip students to live out their faith through action, service, and justice.

  • Practices:
    • Regular service projects appropriate to grade level - FLEX Projects
    • “Kindness in Action” initiatives where students plan and carry out acts of service
    • Partnerships with local ministries and missions
    • School-wide participation in Floor Hockey tournament
  • Outcomes:
    • Students see themselves as active participants in God’s mission
    • Students experience the joy and responsibility of serving others in love

By anchoring the spiritual life of the school in the rhythm of being with God, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus does, this faith formation model forms a living curriculum of discipleship. It prepares students not only to know about God but to live lives transformed by Him—full of love, truth, and service.
