ELI (Early Literacy Intervention)

Students and their families are encouraged to click on the link below and use ANY of the resources to develop a stronger understanding of the building blocks of literacy. Together, you will find that even 15 minutes a day will support your child in the development of your child’s Phonological Awareness (sound structure of our language), Phonics (letter-sound relationships), Reading Fluency (ability to read with speed, accuracy and fluency), Vocabulary (meaning of words) and Comprehension (understanding and interpretation of what is read).

Here is a wonderful 20 minute video that will give you a sense of the process children go through as they learn to read.  It truly is rocket science!

CCES provides targeted intervention to small groups of students in grades 1-3. Students and their families are encouraged to use ANY of the resources below to develop a stronger understanding of number sense and operations. Together, you will find that even 10 minutes a day will support your child in the development and use of strategies for addition and subtraction.
