Welcome to 3B! I am delighted to be your grade three homeroom teacher, and together we will make this school year a successful experience for your child. Third grade is exciting and busy.
This is my fifth year teaching at Calgary Christian Elementary School. Previously, I taught at Glenmore Christian Academy and in Burnaby, British Columbia. My wife’s name is Kersi and we have a son named Austin who is in grade eight. We have a standard poodle named Martha, who is so large that she takes me for a walk! We attend the Anglican Parish of St. Barnabas in the NW where my wife is the rector (senior pastor). I enjoy reading, running, cycling, cross-country skiing, travelling, working around my house and being with family and friends.
At Calgary Christian Elementary, weaving God’s biblical themes into curriculum is the starting point of our teaching. There are several themes or “through-lines” that I feel God speaks through me both personally and professionally. Community-Building is one through-line that I feel God has given me a strength, as I strive to see God’s people working together in a spirit of harmony and service to him.
I know that God has great plans for your child this year. I am enthusiastic about being a part of those plans, and seeing your child mature and grow spiritually, academically and socially.
Parents, please use my weebly-site to stay up to date.
