Grade 1
Hello to my Grade 1 students and families!
While this is my first year teaching at CCES, I have had the joy of being part of the community since January 2021. Grade 1 has become my absolute favourite age group to work with! The energy and inquisitive natures of these kids are so much fun, and I love to be a part of these incredibly important and formative years. My hope is to create a classroom environment full of wonder, curiosity and fun as we learn and explore the world around us!
I was born and raised in Fort McMurray, but moved to Calgary in 2010 and graduated from Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I have spent the last 11 years teaching private music lessons in and around Calgary. During the pandemic, I decided to head back to Ambrose University to pursue my Education degree. I had the opportunity to complete one of my practicums here at CCES in Grade 1, and I am just THRILLED to be back! The community at Calgary Christian Elementary School is such a special place, and I consider myself incredibly blessed to be part of the team.
My husband, Corey, is a Calgary Firefighter and we have been married for 11 years. We have a Frenchie named Albus who is very cute and a little mischievous. While I have lived in Fort McMurray and Edmonton, I am proud to call Calgary our forever home.
