Learning Support and Grade 6
I am excited to start my twentieth year working at Calgary Christian School. Why have I been here so long? It is because I truly love serving God at this school and feel blessed working with such great colleagues and students.
I have experience teaching students from grade one all the way to grade nine where I taught various classes and supported students with special strengths and needs. I am very passionate in making sure everyone at CCS feels success in the classroom, this includes; students, teachers, and learning assistants.
I received my Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta with minors in Special Education and Education Psychology. I continue to grow professionally focusing on special education and inclusion.
I have two awesome sons who both attend Calgary Christian School at the elementary and secondary campus. My oldest loves to play rugby and my youngest plays lacrosse and various school sports. When I do have some spare time, I love to read and go for walks with my dog Marco!
For the 2018-2-19, year I will be teaching; grade six Social Studies to 6V and 6M. My other responsibilities is being the Learning Support Teacher for the elementary school. My role in this position is to support and consult with teachers, parents, and students to ensure every student is succeeding in their learning environment.
I look forward to another great year!
