Hello Children’s Ministry Pastors and Leaders, 

My name is Tina Cassidy. I am a member of McKenzie Towne Church in the SE area of Calgary. I am reaching out to see if our church can be of any help to you and your church as we minister to the families this summer.  I remember being part of children’s ministry and VBS in a start-up church many years ago.  Our congregation did ministry well, but I know resources, man-power and time often were challenges we faced.  Now that we are dealing with a pandemic, I realize as a mom and a grade 2 teacher, more than ever our families and children’s leaders need support to share the mission of Jesus.  I believe VBS is an incredible part of a child’s faith journey, and we would like to help!

We have put together a virtual VBS for children - preschool to grade 4. It includes 4 sessions that will be released weekly throughout the month of July. It includes: a video Bible lesson, worship, game, weekly challenge, and a guided craft. The theme is Serving Others Because We Have Been Served By Jesus and we will be sharing the Gospel during our time. This can be experienced by immediate family, can include friends, or can be run in late summer as a backyard camp.

Our hope and desire is to help equip families to be disciple makers and we want to give them tools to help them along in their faith journey!

We are reaching out to let you know that you are free to use this as well, if this would assist your virtual Kid’s Ministry this summer.  We will provide you the videos (roughly 35 min. in length), and a sample craft guide, so you can put kits together for your families or encourage your families to create them with their friends and neighbours.  We are using low cost craft options so that we can offer this for free to families.
