Job Title:  Executive Administrative Assistant

Term:  Part-Time twenty hours per week.

Location:  Calgary, AB

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the HCA Executive Director, the Executive Administration Assistant is responsible to provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director and to other HCA staff and board members at the Executive Director’s discretion. The Executive Administration Assistant will also manage special projects approved in the HCA’s strategic plan.

The position entails, but is not limited to, the following general responsibilities:

  • Provide enrollment support and communication
  • Provide administrative support to board committees
  • Manage special projects and assist with events as needed
  • Data entry of accounts payable
  • Data entry of accounts receivable
  • Provide payroll and GST reconciliation support

Required Skills

  • Displays independent judgment by willingness to make timely and accurate decisions based on available information that is sometimes vague or limited in nature
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Team player and contributor coupled with excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction, while understanding and contributing to the success of the company
  • Ability for problem-solving – inclusive of identification and attempts resolution of problems in a timely and efficient manner by gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – inclusive of maintenance of confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.  
  • Ability to interface well with all departments within the school and to represent the respective executive director in a highly professional manner.
  • Demonstration of superior communication skills with professionalism and a customer-service orientation.  
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively, edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

Salary Range:  To Commensurate Based on Experience
